The taste of pumpkin is my favorite and especially in the fall but I could eat it all year long. Pumpkin Pie on the trail is such a treat. Real pumpkin and all the pumpkin pie spices make it thanksgiving dessert on the trail or at work.
To Prepare - Remove oxygen absorber. To rehydrate add 1/2 cup of water or any liquid like tea or milk, to the pouch and let the pumpkin soak up the liquid for about 10 minutes. Keep the pie crust out of the liquid as it will turn it mushy. You can eat as is without rehydrating and eat as a crunchy dessert.
