The taste of pumpkin is a favorite and especially in the fall but I could eat it all year long. Pumpkin Pie on the trail is such a treat. Real pumpkin and all the pumpkin pie spices make it thanksgiving dessert anywhere you go. We love it right out of the pouch as a crunchy treat. It's a crunchy cookie but the taste. Yum!
To Prepare - Remove oxygen absorber. To rehydrate add 1/2 cup of water or any liquid like tea or milk, to the pouch and let the pumpkin soak up the liquid for about 10 minutes. Keep the pie crust out of the liquid as it will turn it mushy. You can also eat as is without rehydrating as a crunchy dessert. Yum!
