A favorite on the trail. Our Chicken Pot Pie is good ole comfort food for when you’re outdoors. Freeze dried ultra lightweight, rehydrates quickly & easily and tastes, incredible! It will warm your insides and fill you up. Made with real chicken and we loaded it with veggies like corn, carrots, onions, peas and potatoes in a nice thick homemade gravy and when you add in the pie crust you got yourself pot pie in the back country or wherever your adventures take you.
This meal makes an amazing hearty lunch or dinner. Our version of Chicken Pot Pie qualifies as comfort food and is calorie dense to keep you fueled for all your adventure's.
Our preferred method to Prepare -Remove larger pieces of pie crust and the oxygen absorber. Add 1 cup hot water into chicken mixture and mix well, let sit for 5 minutes. Mix again, then add pie crust on top and let stand for 3 minutes. Some of the pie crust will rehydrate into the pot pie mixture and some will stay a little crunchy, just the way we like it!
Ingredients: chicken (2% or less corn starch, molasses, natural flavor, rice starch, salt, sugar, vinegar, yeast extract), peas, corn, potatoes, carrots, onion, butter, flour, chicken broth, half n half, parsley, turmeric, thyme, salt and pepper. Pie crust: Enriched Flour Bleached (wheat flour, niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), Partially Hydrogenated Lard with BHA and BHT to Protect Flavor, Wheat Starch, Water.
